We fished Salmon Creek on Sat, and sad to report, but did not land a fish. We did not really expect much, cold weather and late season and all. Weather was cold, maybe mid 40's, the creek through Horse Meadows campground was clear and running well. I was surprised at the amount of snow still on the road, mostly in the shaded north facing areas, and some snow along the banks through the campground. We ran into Guy on the way down from Big Meadow, where they landed a couple. I had only one hit on a rather large (16) Griffith's Gnat. We talked to Guy back at the shop, and they did pretty well using really small black gnat type flies. The Kern looked pretty good, but we did not stop to try it. These short days don't allow enough daylight to pack a lot of different spots in! Matt
